Through Shattered Light (Xanadu)

Through Shattered Light - Tielle St. Clare First of all, this story is... essentially ridiculous!Carissa’s student managed to create some kind of a device, that opens a portal to another dimension/world/whatever. He's so happy about it, he drags her through it one night, and they end up in some... enchanted kingdom? Well, there's a king, so it must be the case, and there's some magic going on, so it's enchanted. Right? Oh, whatever.Once there, Carissa's student ends up in prison, since they think he's some kind of wizard, that will... harm them somehow? Sorry, it's been a while since I read this, and it's kind of... well, ridiculous!Carissa is captured as well, and she is held captive by the king himself.(Maybe it would be good to point this out, as well - once Carissa and her student got to their destination, their looks changed. Actually, they became better, hotter, sort of Photoshopped versions of themselves. I mean, what's that about?!)Oh, yes, there's some legend there about a woman that will come and save their magic, because they are having some problems with the land, and so they think it's Carissa, but nothing is happening, so maybe it's not her after all, and the king should then marry some princess that doesn't like their ways, and... Get it? Sort of? Great! Now, what is this book really about?Sex.A lot - and I mean a lot - of sex.People going around mostly naked, having sex whenever, however and whoever with.Then... there's sex. And, more sex. And, just when you think it's not gonna happen - yep, there's sex.So, basically, there's m-f, m-m-f, f-f, f-f-m, m-m, and everything in between. If I've managed to forget some combination, no sweat - you'll find it there, for sure!I won't rate this one, because it's not bad in a creepy, ugly way. It's just ridiculous, too-much-sex, not-sure-what-it's-suppose-to-be-about kind.Have I mentioned it's ridiculous?I have?Well, that's because it's an ideal one word description for it!The good thing is, I read this around the time I read Darkest Hour, and compared to that, it seemed harmless. But, nevertheless (one more time!) ridiculous!
